Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Social Innovation

Through a partnership with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, a national collaborative of nonprofit, academic, and private partners, the Department of Social Work and Human Services offers an academic experience-based approach to preparing students for administrative and leadership roles in the growing nonprofit sector. You must meet the criteria for acceptance into the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Certificate program (see Campus Executive Director). Completing this Certificate’s requirements can also result in you receiving national credentialing (Certified Nonprofit Practitioner).

You will acquire academic and on-the-job education in ten (10) core competencies including:

    Note:
    HS 4950 Advanced Internship for Human Services Professionals may be substituted for non-degree seeking students with significant work experience or for non-Human Service majors enrolled in an equivalent course through the student’s major degree program upon approval by the Campus Executive Director of the KSU Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Certificate Program. * Students enrolling in HS 4950 should register for the nonprofit administration section.
