The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) will prepare you for various nursing practices and guide you toward becoming a registered nurse. You will be ready to assist and support various patient needs and interact with individuals, families, community groups and populations across the human lifespan and the vast range of healthcare environments.
The Wellstar School of Nursing offers both Traditional and Accelerated BSN program pathways that include coursework in the humanities and the biological and social sciences. You will be able to develop extensive theoretical and clinical practice as an essential background needed for the preparation and pursuit of professional nursing.
You will be prepared to work as a patient-focused nurse in a variety of general and specialty areas (e.g., medical/surgical, labor and delivery, pediatrics, emergency department, critical care, mental health, operating room, etc.). You can also pursue diverse careers as nurse educators, health policy nurses, nurse recruiters, nurse informaticists, forensic nurses and more.
