The future of immersive technology is changing, and Dr. Max North, information systems professor, is evolving with it. He recently spoke with Atlanta First News on the launch of Kennesaw State University’s Immersive Visualization Environments Research Cluster. Featuring an enormous wraparound screen, the lab provides researchers access to advanced imaging technology without the motion sickness often associated with VR headsets.

Kennesaw State University’s Fintech Master’s Program Fuels Georgia’s Thriving Financial Industry

Georgia is home to 70 percent of the nation’s electronic payment processing systems. Dr. Humayun Zafar, director of the Master of Science in Digital Financial Technologies, was interviewed for an article on CardRates.com about the program’s success fueling Georgia’s financial industry. Zafar said that the program supply fully-trained, leadership-ready graduates to the 200+ Georgia-based fintech companies.

Students get hands-on investment experience at KSU's 'the Firm'

Faculty advisor and professor of economics, finance and quantitative analysis, Govind Hariharan, was prominently featured in an Atlanta Business Chronicle feature on Kennesaw State’s Student Managed Investment Fund. Hariharan discussed providing the SMIF members with hands on investment experience through “The Firm.”  He said one of the most important goals of the SMIF is provide students with the opportunities to advance in their future careers.
