Partnership will allow for collaborative, educational opportunities for students

The Department of Dance in the College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University announced today that it has formed a new partnership with Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, connecting two of Atlanta’s premier dance institutions.
McCree O’Kelley, interim chair of the Department of Dance, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre. Our partnership brings together the educational and professional practices of dance, allowing for collaborative opportunities both on the stage and in the classroom.”
A collective of five classically-trained principal dancers with a combined 85 years of professional experience performing locally, national and abroad, Terminus recognizes Atlanta not only as home––the name itself is an unofficial, original name of Atlanta––but also as a cultural intersection where people and influences come together to create a unique a vibrant place. Principals include Heath Gill, Tara Lee, John Welker (KSU alumnus), Rachel Van Buskirk, and Christian Clark. Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre seeks to bring together ballet and modern influences to create new theatrical dance works.
Offering a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in ballet and contemporary modern dance, the Department of Dance at Kennesaw State University is home to the largest collegiate dance program in Georgia and is also home to the KSU Dance Theatre, the only venue in Atlanta built specifically for dance. Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre will perform March 6-7, 2020 at the Dance Theatre on the Marietta campus of KSU. To purchase tickets, please visit ticketing.kennesaw.edu.
