Kennesaw State University’s College of the Arts to Host ArtsKSU Gala
KENNESAW, Ga. | Sep 28, 2021
Evening of dinner, auctions, and student performances to support scholarships
Kennesaw State University’s College of the Arts will host the 2021 ArtsKSU Gala on October 16, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta. Proceeds from the fundraising event will benefit annual student scholarships in the College of the Arts at KSU. A few tables of ten are still available; single tickets are $250 per person.
Conceived, organized, and managed by the College of the Arts’ Ambassador’s Council, this year’s ArtsKSU Gala will be the first gala hosted by the College in several years. KSU students from all units of the College will provide the evening’s entertainment, including live demonstrations, music, and performances.
“Featuring over 100 student dancers, musicians, actors, and artists, the ArtsKSU Gala will be a joyful celebration of the arts and their powerful impact within the metropolitan Atlanta community,” said Harrison Long, Interim Dean of the College of the Arts.
Patrons may watch printing presses in action from the School of Art and Design, delight in dance performances from the Department of Dance, listen to musicians from the Bailey School of Music, and be entertained by musical theatre students from the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies.
Set in the beautiful Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, the ArtsKSU Gala begins at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and passed hors d'oeuvres to start off the evening, followed by dinner and dessert. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture memories of the evening against a KSU-branded backdrop. Patrons may bid on fabulous silent auction items throughout the evening, and then raise their paddles in an exciting live auction.
Kelly Smith, Director of Development, said, “The silent and live auction donations are fabulous, and include vacation stays, original artwork, and even a hot air balloon ride. Our Ambassador’s Council has really delivered in donating and securing some fabulous auction items.”
