IECP Graduate Admissions
There is no better choice for graduate education than Kennesaw State University. KSU’s
Graduate College understands that seeking admission to US colleges and universities
is not an
easy task. Our India Educational Consultant program (IECP) offers a streamlined admissions
process for applicants working with our partner Educational Consultants in India.

Eligible Programs
Effective February 1, 2023, the following programs are open to applicants:
- Master of Public Administration (MPA)
- Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics (MSDSA)
- Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS)
- Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE)
- Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)
- Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSWE)

Admission Requirements
Requirements for streamlined applicants are as follows:
- Completed and submitted online Graduate Application
- $60 non-refundable application processing fee

Resume – Uploaded through the online application portal
- Statement of Purpose – Uploaded through the online application portal. The online application will give instructions on what to include in your statement of purpose if it is required.
- English Proficiency Test – The Graduate College only accepts official TOEFL or IELTS exam scores. Test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. Please do not email score reports to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
- Official Transcripts – Official academic credentials/documents (transcripts, marksheets, diplomas, etc.) will be required to enroll. Applicants may upload unofficial copies of their transcripts through the online application portal to begin the evaluation
process.

NOTE: Office of Graduate Admissions cannot accept transcripts via email
- Official Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts - The Graduate College offers a complimentary transcript evaluation service to all streamlined admission applicants whose transcripts are in English .

To apply as a graduate student, applicants must possess the equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree and a minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 US scale)

MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE)
MSECE applicants require an evaluated GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 US scale) or greater.
MSECE applicants are required to have undergraduate degrees in engineering; engineering technology; telecommunications; electronics; computer science; physical science; or other technically oriented major
- Master of Public Administration (MPA)
MPA Applicants require two letters of recommendation from faculty or work supervisors with direct knowledge of the applicant that address the applicant’s potential for graduate study and use of an MPA degree.

Submitting Official Transcripts
Official transcripts must be mailed directly to Office of Graduate Admissions from the Controller of Examinations or Registrar of the awarding institution. Envelopes and transcripts must bear the institution’s official seal, stamp, and/or appropriate signature. Do not open the envelope or break the official seal.
Final Official transcripts will be required once the student graduates, if admitted during last semester/term of study.

Note: If the awarding institution does not provide mailing options to the US, you may have photocopies of your original mark sheets and degree certificates attested by the Controller of Examinations or Registrar’s Office, placed in an official envelope officially sealed by the Controller of Examinations or Registrar’s Office and then mail to the Graduate Admissions Office. Do not open the envelope or break the official seal.

Foreign Credential Evaluation Services
The Graduate College offers a complimentary transcript evaluation service to all streamlined admission applicants. Applicants may upload unofficial copies of their academic transcripts to begin the evaluation process.
Please allow a minimum of one week for the Office of Graduate Admissions to evaluate your documents. You will not see changes to application checklist while we evaluate your documents.
If additional documents are required, you will be emailed by your Graduate Admissions Counselor.
Note: The Graduate College reserves the right to require a professional credential evaluation by an outside, independent party.
Reasons for outside review include, but are not limited to, verification of document authenticity, potential transfer credits, and the wish to expedite the processing of an application file.

Test Score Requirements
Graduate school entry exams (i.e. GRE and GMAT) are not required as part of the streamlined application.
The following are acceptable as proof of English proficiency:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Minimum required overall score of 80
on Internet version (iBT)
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum overall required score of 6.5
Notes:
All tests must have been taken within two years of the semester for which you are applying.
All exam scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. Do not email copies of score reports.
In some circumstances, you may be able to request a waiver of the TOEFL or IELTS exam. Download the form HERE
We do not accept Duolingo as proof of English proficiency.
We recommend that you achieve acceptable scores prior to submitting your application. Scores must be no more than two years old on the day you are scheduled to begin your graduate education. Failure to satisfy the English Language Proficiency requirement will impact our ability to review an application.
