The Bagwell College of Education (BCOE) Advising Center is the primary advising home for students who are majoring or interested in majoring in:

  • Early Childhood Education Birth through Kindergarten, B.S.
  • Elementary Education, B.S.
  • Health and Physical Activity Leadership, B.S. (Health and Physical Education Teacher Certification Concentration)
  • History Education, B.S.
  • Learning, Design, and Technology, B.S.

Learning, Design, and Technology Minor

The Minor in LDT is made up of 15 credit hours across five (5) courses. These courses provide the foundational skills and knowledge for instructional design work in business, medical, educational, or other domains, and can be a useful complement to a large number of degrees at KSU. 

The minor in LDT requires a minimum of 15 credit hours including: 

A required of 12 credits must be completed in 3000 and 4000 level LDT course work.
A flexible three (3) credits in a choice of five LDT courses.
All courses must be passed with a grade of “C” grade or higher.

TRAC

The Teacher Resource and Activity Corner (TRAC) is a curriculum center designed to help education students and teachers plan and prepare effective and creative classroom instruction.

TRAC has these primary service zones: 

COMPUTER LAB: includes desktop computers, laptops, iPads, headsets with microphones, scanner, copy/print options, and an Oculus Virtual Reality station
EDUCATION LIBRARY: houses over 30,000 items to support the scholarship and development of teachers, including professional books and DVDs, K-12 textbooks, Infant through Young Adult literature, and a wide array of educational extras like classroom tools, tech-oriented kits, manipulatives, games, models, and more
MAKER WORKROOM: set up with large format printers, laminators, button-makers, binding machines, extra-wide paper trimmers, digital and manual die cuts stations, and (NEW IN 2021!) a Glowforge 3D Laser Printer and Makerbot Replicator 3D printer

GACE Information

The GACE exams were developed and implemented by the state of Georgia as a way of assessing the content knowledge of individuals seeking an education certificate. Undergraduate students will take the Content exams during their clinical experiences in the last year of studies.
