The Front Lines: A Soldiers Life in World War II

5th Grade and 8th Grade

Handle original artifacts from the front lines including a helmet, mess kit, gas mask, and personal items such as latrine paper. Learn about the difficult lives of soldiers stationed abroad during World War II and learn how soldiers adapted to life in the military. Analyze and discuss the importance of V-mail during the war, and discuss the experience of soldiers on D-Day and beyond.
